John Galt School Training Program

The John Galt School offers a comprehensive educational program designed for university students and individuals with a keen interest in acquiring a deep understanding of Objectivism philosophy. Over the course of a single semester, our program accommodates up to twenty-five participants, each poised to gain a fresh and enlightening perspective on the intricate dynamics of society, politics, and economics.

Objectivism 101

Objectivism is the name of the philosophy of Ayn Rand, described by her as a “philosophy for living on Earth” – a philosophy with clear guidelines on how to live your life to its full potential, as well as “the concept of man as a heroic being, with his happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute.”

Objectivism holds that reality exists unrelated to consciousness and that this reality can be perceived by humans directly through the senses and integrated using reason. Applied consistently, the metaphysical and epistemological tenets of Objectivism lead to conclusions about ethics (most famously known as the ethics of self-interest), which all point toward a completely free market system (laissez-faire capitalism) being the only possible economic/social/political system that is morally acceptable, and indeed morally superior. Being a complete philosophical system, besides a defined metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and politics, it also deals with aesthetics, which defines the purpose of art and what art is itself.
